Ashley & Michael - Johnstown, Pennsylvania Wedding

Here it is, the final wedding highlight film of 2013. And what a year it's been! I can't thank everyone enough for such an amazing year. From our first wedding back in April to our last few here in November, we have been so lucky to share in all of these peoples lives! I wouldn't trade any of it for the world! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

So I met Ashley & Michael just a few weeks before their wedding and from that first meeting, I could tell that these two are great people. They are laid-back, genuine people and I couldn't wait for their wedding day. The day started with both Ashley & Michael getting ready at the church. This church is great and the pastor is from my hometown which makes it even better. The guys got dressed downstairs while the girls finished their makeup in the bridal suite. As soon as we finished up with Ashley and her dress, it was time for the ceremony.

As the ceremony finished, we shot the photo session alongside Stacey & George from Catchlight Photography. They were a pleasure to work with and we surely hope our paths cross again in the future. We left the church and headed to the Compass Inn Musuem in Ligonier, PA. This place had a great rustic feel and we captured some beautiful outdoor shots.
We ended the night at The Barn at Ligonier Valley. The place was packed with friends and family and tons of dancing. The bridal party even had huge cardboard cutouts of Ashley & Michael's faces. They were AWESOME!

Thanks to Ashley & Michael for such an amazing time. We hope you guys had as much fun as we did! And thanks to all of our couples for making this year so special for us. We are looking forward to making many more friends in 2014!

Jenna & Ryan - October Wedding in Central Pennsylvania

I've said it time and time again, Fall is the absolute best time of year here in Central Pennsylvania. And as far as weddings go, it's my favorite time of year. Jenna & Ryan had a perfect day for a wedding and we had an amazing time sharing in their big day.

Jenna & Ryan have been friends of mine for a number of years now and they are PERFECT for each other. They are both kind and caring individuals, but I think the thing that holds them together is their sense of humor. They joke, smile and laugh at just about everything. Seriously, these two are so much fun to be around!

We started off the day at the church where both sides of the wedding party were getting ready. We finished up with prep and it was time for the ceremony. I couldn't think of a better pastor to marry these two. She was hilarious! We captured some family photo session footage at the church and then made our way to Valley View Park in Altoona.

I can't say enough good things about Christina Garber and her 2nd shooter Sarah. They were a blast to work with and I can't wait to work alongside them again. The park setting was a beautiful backdrop with colorful leaves on the trees and scattered about on the ground. I am so glad we decided to go there because we ended up with some amazing footage!

The reception was held at the fabulous Casino in Lakemont. It was actually the first reception in the big room for us and was it ever nice! A big thanks to Local Motion DJ's for keeping the party rocking throughout the night.

We are so thankful to Jenna & Ryan and both of their families for letting us share in their wedding day! Best of luck to you both in the future and enjoy your wedding highlights!

Katie & Jesse - September Wedding in Altoona, Pennsylvania

So what else can the end of September bring besides another beautiful wedding day! I've known Katie for a long time, in fact we graduated from high school together. And although I only met Jesse on their wedding day, it felt like I had known him for a lot longer. Both Katie & Jesse are the kind of people that are just fun to be around. And their wedding was exactly that, FUN!

The guys were getting ready at Jesse's parents house when we arrived. You could tell from the start that everyone was really excited for the day to begin. Whiskey shots in the driveway anyone? Once we were Inside, we filmed Jesse as he put on his tux and then were quickly out the door and over to the Cathedral.

We met up with Katie at the church as well as Krista & Mike from The Hurst's Photography. Outside of the Cathedral, we captured some beautiful detail shots of the dress & shoes just before Katie was ready to get dressed. Once she finished up, it was time for the ceremony.

As the ceremony ended, we worked alongside Krista & Mike on the steps just outside of the Cathedral. The exterior of the Cathedral is always a breathtaking backdrop, especially when the weather cooperates! Luckily, the lighting was amazing and we got some great shots before heading over to the reception.

We had the privilege of working with Dancing DJ's again for the reception. They are always so easy to work with and we really appreciate everything they do for us! But there was one more thing I was anxiously awaiting since we booked with Katie & Jesse and that was the Michael O'Brian Band! Yes, towards the very end of the night, the Michael O'Brian Band played all their hits along with a few covers of some popular artists. This was so much fun and really got the guests into the dancing.

Thanks so much to Katie & Jesse and both of their families for an amazing time. We had a blast spending the day with you and wish you the best of luck in the future. Enjoy your video!

Winter Marriage Proposal - Devin & Kerry - Altoona, Pennsylvania

I can't even begin to put into words how much I love doing what I do. I get to meet some of the most amazing people in the world and share in their once in a lifetime moments. I mean seriously, this job is the absolute best!

So just a few days ago, Devin contacted me about filming his proposal to his longtime girlfriend Kerry. I was extremely excited and also a bit nervous. It was the first time I was asked to do something like this and I had to stay hidden during the whole thing! So Devin and I scouted out the location and came up with a plan of attack.

Wednesday was the big day and wow, was it ever cold! The wind was blowing and I was certain that all of Devin's hard work was going to be ruined by the elements. But just as Kerry arrived, the wind went away and snowflakes started showering down from the sky. It was PERFECT! As Kerry was taking in all of the promise cards and decorations, Devin walked up behind her with the ring...and of course she said YES!

Thanks to Devin & Kerry for letting me share in this joyous event. I was thrilled to be able to capture this memory for you and let you cherish it forever. Enjoy the video!

Anna & Brian - Outdoor Wedding in Central Pennsylvania

I absolutely love September here in Central Pennsylvania. The leaves are changing, the sunsets are spectacular and the weather is a lot cooler! And what a perfect time to have an outdoor wedding in historic Hollidaysburg. Anna & Brian had probably the most perfect wedding day of 2013.

Now, this wedding was a little extra special to me because it was the first time I had been back to the Blairmont Club for a wedding since my wedding. As Anna & Brian created new memories, the scenery brought back a lot of past memories for me. I just can't get over how beautiful it is at the Blairmont with the natural light and the amazing overlook of Hollidaysburg & Chimney Rocks. Okay, enough reminiscing.

We started the day with Brian and the guys as they got ready at Brian's house. They were having a great time and were really into the photos & video. We finished up there and went over to the hotel where Anna & the girls were getting dressed. Anna looked stunning as she put on her wedding dress and you could see the excitement in her eyes.

Since the ceremony was later in the day, Anna & Brian arranged to have photos taken in the afternoon. So we packed up and headed down to Legion Park with Ray from Ray Kauffman Photography. Ray is an AMAZING photographer and just as amazing to work with. You can check out his work at the link below.

The ceremony took place on the grounds of the beautiful Blairmont Club and once it was finished, we got some great footage of the photo session around the golf course. Once inside, it was time to party! We had the opportunity to work with Rock Bottom Dj's again as they kept the fun going all night long.

Thanks to Anna & Brian and there amazing families for welcoming us into their lives on such a special day. We wish you the best of luck in the future! Enjoy your wedding film!

Abby & Chad - Bedford, Pennsylvania Wedding Highlights

Was it only by chance that I finished Abby & Chad's wedding highlights today? I mean, it could have been done yesterday, or even pushed to tomorrow, but no, today was the day it was suppose to be finished. And why is that? Because today, Abby started chemotherapy and began her fight against breast cancer. I have known Abby for about 4 years now and she is one of the most genuine people I have ever met. I know she will make it through this, and her family and friends will be there to support her along the journey.

Now, let's rewind to Abby & Chad's wedding day. It was the last day of August 2013 and what a beautiful day it was…well sort of. The wedding was held outdoors at Abby's grandparents house in downtown Bedford and obviously the last thing you want for an outdoor wedding is rain! Well about 30 mins prior to the wedding, the clouds opened up and poured down some serious rain. We were all pretty nervous because there was literally no backup plan. But in a matter of minutes the sun came out and everything was back on track.

As Abby came down the aisle, Chad had a huge smile on his face. You can just tell that these two are in love! After the vows & rings were exchanged, we covered the photo session alongside Lyndsay of Elle Bee Photography. She is amazing and we were so happy to work with her.

The rest of the night was so much fun as Rockbottom DJ's blasted everybody's favorite tunes. There was even a surprise song sung by Abby's sister, dad & uncle.

Thank you to Abby & Chad's families for allowing us to share in such a special day. We had a blast being with you throughout the day and hope you enjoy the video!

Stay strong Abby, we are all thinking of you!

Colleen & Caleb - Summer Wedding in Downtown Altoona

Colleen, Caleb and their little girl Emma are a beautiful little family. And celebrating their wedding day with them was a joy for us here at Altoona Video Production. The treat for us was that just two weeks prior to this wedding, we experienced another wedding of a Drenning family member. And this family sure knows how to have a good time!

We started the day at Caleb's house in downtown Altoona. The guys were drinking a few cold ones as we filmed them getting ready for the big day. Once we finished up there, we headed to The Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament to capture Colleen and the girls. Colleen's dress was gorgeous and she was equally as stunning when she put it on.

After the ceremony, we worked alongside Jen from Blink of an Eye Photography. Jen and I have worked together a few times before and it is always a great time working with her. She has an awesome personality and is so easy to get along with. The photo session finished up on the steps just outside the Cathedral.

The reception was held just a few blocks down the street at the UVA. This place is always so beautifully decorated inside and the staff does an excellent job of tending to the guests as well as the vendors. Chad Bender's DJ service put on a great party and threw in a few surprises with throughout the night. We'd like to thank Colleen, Caleb, Emma and the rest of their amazing families for letting us capture their special day. We hope you had as much fun as we did! Enjoy your wedding film!

Divya's 1st Birthday | A Fairy Tale Kind of Day

I was absolutely thrilled when I received the call to film Divya's 1st Birthday. She is an adorable little girl with so much personality and I couldn't wait to capture some of that on video. Not to mention she has two of the best parents and most wonderful families I have ever met.

Now this story goes back to last summer when Laura & Narinder were tying the knot here in Altoona, PA. Even as I first met them, I could tell that they were two of the friendliest people on Earth. I think we talked for almost 2 hours at that first meeting. Needless to say, we had an amazing time at their wedding and have kept in touch since then. So when Laura reached out about filming Divya's birthday, there was no doubt that I'd be there.

Divya's birthday celebration began with a meal at the Twisted Thistle in Leechburg, PA. Facepainting, balloon animals and games were set up in the back room where the kids were having an absolute blast. After lunch, it was time for Divya to go at it with the cake. She loved it! As we finished up at the restaurant, we headed back to the house to open some presents. I have never seen so many presents in my entire life!

Thanks to Laura & Narinder and both of their families for welcoming me into their lives. I have had such a great time over the past year or so since I met you. Happy Birthday to Divya and enjoy your video!

Jenna & Dustin - Mid Summer Wedding - Central Pennsylvania

Yet another fantastic July wedding day here in Central Pennsylvania. Beautiful weather and a beautiful couple. Jenna & Dustin were absolutely amazing and I'll be honest, they are truly made for each other.

We started the day at Jenna's parent's house where the girls were getting ready. Jenna was finishing up makeup and putting on her dress. This house was gorgeous and really made the prep shots a breeze. Once we finished up there, we headed over to the church where Dustin and the guys were finishing up last minute details.

This beauty of a church is located in the town of Salix, Pennsylvania. I love the shot we captured of the exterior of the church. Once inside, the ceremony began and Jenna & Dustin exchanged their vows to one another.

After the ceremony, we headed to the Chestnut Ridge Golf Course & Conference Center and headed out to the golf course for the photo session. I love golf course photo shoots, they always make for a great backdrop for the wedding party. We worked alongside Erin & Courtney from Erin Rutledge Photography. They were so easy to work with and great photographers!

We finished up the photo session and quickly captured some detail shots at the reception before the wedding party entered. The ballroom here is magnificent. It has amazing natural light pouring in the room and onto the massive dance floor. A very special place for any couple tying the knot.

BPM DJ Services from Pittsburgh had everybody dancing throughout the night. They even provided an awesome photo booth in which we obviously took advantage of.

This wedding was an awesome time from the first prep shots to the final goodnight kiss. Thanks to Jenna & Dustin and their families for an amazing day! Enjoy your wedding film!

Samantha & Craig - Johnstown, Pennsylvania Wedding

So finally, after 11 years, Samantha & Craig tied the knot. And even though they waited awhile, I have to say these two people could not be more in love and it absolutely showed on their faces throughout the day. This wedding was a joy from start to finish.

We began our day at Samantha's parents house as the girls finished their hair and makeup and put on their dresses. It was very relaxed as the girls were just hanging out eating some delicious pastries and drinking Mimosas. We then drove over to Craig's parents house where the guys were getting ready. They were having a great time hanging out on the back porch trying not to sweat to death. July is a hot one here in Central Pennsylvania.

Samantha arrived at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church to put on her dress and soon after, the ceremony began. The interior of this church is very unique. The center aisle is short with a large square altar in the middle of the room and pews wrapped around either side.

Following the ceremony we worked alongside Julie Buck for the photo session. Julie is an absolutely awesome photographer and so easy to work with. Our travels took us to LBK Game Ranch in Summerhill, PA. This place is absolutely GORGEOUS! Acres of trees, open water, streams, and of course wildlife, this place is a hunter's dream!

The end of our day took us to the Pasquerilla Center in downtown Johnstown. Top Dog Productions were the hosts & DJ's for the evening and wow did they blow me away once again. You can't get any better than these guys, they do a phenomenal job!

Thanks to Samantha & Craig and their amazing families for allowing us to share in their special day. We had a blast and hope you guys did as well. Enjoy the video!

Melissa & Andrew - Altoona Wedding Film

I first met Melissa & Andrew about a year before their wedding day. At that point, I could already tell that they were an awesome couple. Totally laid back, but still up for anything. I also found out that we had a mutual friend, Kirstin, who was going to be the maid of honor. I knew that this was going to be a fun wedding day.

Fast forward to June 29, 2013 and it was go time. We started out at Melissa's parents house with the girls as they were getting ready. You could tell that Melissa's mother was really excited as she helped her daughter with her wedding dress. Once we finished up with the girls it was time to head over for the guys prep.

Andrew and the guys were getting ready at their apartment and with a bunch of groomsmen, photographer and videographer all inside, we decided to finish up the prep on the back porch. We got some great shots of Andrew and his Dad as well as the rest of the guys.

We headed to the church in Altoona for the ceremony and then started the photo session alongside Megan from Megan Photography. And even though it threatened to rain almost the entire day, the rain held off and we filmed some amazing footage at the Penn State Altoona Campus.

The day was capped off with a beautiful reception in downtown Altoona at the Discovery Center. This place is awesome for wedding receptions and Boomerang DJ's did a fantastic job of keeping the party going.

Thanks to Melissa & Andrew for being an awesome couple to film throughout the day. They never stopped smiling and their love really showed through in each and every shot of them. Congrats to both of them and their families!

Kara & Matt - Wedding at The Hayloft - Rockwood, Pennsylvania

Kara & Matt have a story all their own and as I sat down for the pre wedding meeting with Kara, it was very exciting to find out how they met. Matt is a Navy diver and while stationed in Hawaii, he met Kara, who was conveniently there for spring break. The two hit it off and they never looked back.

We started out the wedding day with bride and groom prep in South Fork, PA. Kara and the girls did hair and makeup at her parent's house while Matt and the guys got ready just down the road. We worked alongside Stephanie from Lady of the Lens Photography. Stephanie is an absolute blast to work with and we can't wait to work with her again. Once everyone was ready, we headed to Most Holy Trinity Church for the ceremony.

After the ceremony we headed to The Hayloft, a beautiful indoor/outdoor barn venue in Rockwood, PA. This place is amazing for weddings, both ceremonies and receptions! The photo session was held at many of the rustic locations around the barn including a gorgeous field of wildflowers. Once inside the barn, it was time to party!

Thanks to Kara & Matt and their amazing families for letting us be a part of your special day. We hope you had a great time because we definitely did! Good luck in the future together!

Penn State Wedding - State College, Pennsylvania

Who would have thought that Ashley would be marrying a former Big Ten Football player? As we found out from the speeches at Ashley & Joe's reception, Ashley never wanted to date an athlete, especially a football player. Well this all changed when she met Joe.

Ashley & Joe's wedding day began at the Nittany Lion Inn located in State College, PA. Ashley and the girls were getting ready in a suite and just down the hall, the guys were doing the same…well kind of. It seemed more like a party! We couldn't believe how many people were in this hotel room! As the guys finished up, we headed back down to film Ashley putting on her dress and finalizing last minute details.

We made our way to the ceremony at Faith United Church of Christ, an historic church in the heart of downtown State College. What a beautiful church from the inside out! And after a short and sweet ceremony, we were covering the photo session alongside Suzanne of Suzanne Winter Photography.

As we finished up at the church, we headed to the Pennsylvania State University sign just outside Beaver Stadium. The weather was beautiful and we got some great shots not only there, but also at Old Main and the Alumni Gardens.

The reception was held back at the Nittany Lion Inn and hosted by DJ Mike of High Impact Entertainment. The ballroom was absolutely stunning and the tables had some of the most unique photos on them. Ashley & Joe had their photos taken at many of the popular spots on the Penn State Campus. They then framed the photos and had the building names as each table name for the reception. Really cool idea!

The night was full of dancing, great speeches from friends and family, and of course plenty of fun times. Thanks to Ashley & Joe and their amazing families for allowing us to capture your special day. We had a blast and hope you did too. Enjoy!

Alicia & Matt - Summer Wedding - Central Pennsylvania

The 1st day of June here in Central Pennsylvania was HOT! And what better way to spend it than in a big white dress and a 3 piece suit. Well that is exactly what Alicia & Matt did and we all had a blast as we spent the day together.

We started the day with groom prep at Matt's family home in Hollidaysburg, PA. All the guys were there with Matt and his parents hanging out and getting ready. Once we finished up with some pictures and ring shots, we traveled over to Alicia's where the girls were doing hair and makeup. Once Alicia got her dress on, it was time to get over to the church.

After the ceremony, we worked with Ray Kauffman for the photo session. Ray is amazing to work with and his photos are even more amazing! Check out the link below. We traveled to the gardens in Loretto, near Saint Francis University for the outdoor photos and captured some great shots of Alicia & Matt and the whole wedding party. The reception was held at La Ferme Rouge in Patton, PA and hosted by Dancing DJ's. Gene & Debbie are always a pleasure to work with and despite the heat, they kept the party going and got people dancing!

Thanks to Alicia & Matt and both of their families for an amazing day. We had a great time sharing in your wedding fun and hope you enjoy your wedding highlights!

Rachel & Evan | Oatlands Historic House & Gardens | Leesburg, Virginia Wedding

Stunning! I don't think there is any other word to describe Rachel & Evan's wedding day. This is already one of our favorite weddings. The couple, the families, the location, everything was just amazing.
We started our day with a trip to the beautiful Oatlands Historic House & Gardens located in Leesburg, Virginia. Both the guys and girls were getting ready here in the historic buildings. Once everyone was dressed and ready to go, we were able to capture Rachel & Evan's first look in the beautiful garden area. And of course, they were so excited to see each other!

Following the first look, we filmed alongside their photographer, Amanda Gilley. She was amazing! Check out her link below. The photo session took place in the gardens around the house and even though the sun was beaming down on us, we managed to get a ton of great photo session footage. Rachel & Evan were loving the photo session!

The ceremony took place on the lower level of the gardens and the reception was immediately after in a huge tent next to the mansion. The tables & centerpieces were gorgeous! Bryan George Music Services hosted the party and kept it going throughout the evening. The night was capped off with a special exit involving glow sticks and a vintage Rolls Royce!

Thanks to Rachel & Evan and both of their families for such an amazing day. It was our pleasure to film your big day and we hope you enjoy your wedding film!

Amy & Matt | Altoona, Pennsylvania Wedding Video

The first weekend of May was a beauty with green grass, blue skies, and tons of flowers blooming. Amy & Matt's wedding took place in Central Pennsylvania with their ceremony at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in downtown Bellwood.

Once they tied the knot, Amy & Matt were off to the Penn State Altoona Campus for some outdoor photos. We had the pleasure of working with Dan Bitner, a coworker and friend of the couple. He was a fantastic photographer and great guy to work alongside. You can check out his portfolio at the link below.

After the photo session, we headed over to the Blair County Convention Center for cocktail hour and the reception festivities. Boomerang Sound did a great job hosting the evening and keeping the party going.

Johnstown Wedding Day - Autumn & Robert

Beautiful day, amazing bride and groom, and an awesome crew of people to work alongside. That basically sums up Autumn & Robert's wedding day. I just cannot say enough about how fun this wedding was to film!

We began with bride and groom prep at the Tickerhoof home in Ebensburg, PA. We arrived in the morning as the men began to get ready for the day. Robert, better known as Jimmy, was hanging out with his groomsmen and drinking some Redd's Apple Ale, which I must say, looked delicious! After the men departed for the church, the girls arrived and finished getting ready. We captured some amazing dress shots in the backyard!

The ceremony was held at Holy Name Church in Ebensburg and once it was over, we traveled to Sunnehanna Country Club in Johnstown, PA. This place is gorgeous inside and out! We captured the photo session alongside Jason Bafile Photography. Jason is one of the best photographers we have had the pleasure to work with and we can't wait to work with him again. Check out his work at the link below. The reception was hosted by Tom Hoover of Atomix Sounds and again, what a pleasure to work with Tom. He did an amazing job of keeping the party going from beginning to end. Check out Atomix Sounds at the link below.

Thanks to Autumn & Jimmy, as well as both of their families for hosting a terrific wedding day! It was our pleasure to capture this stunning wedding day and we hope you enjoy your wedding film!
