Mary & Nick | Fall Wedding | Carrolltown, Pennsylvania

Our final wedding highlight of 2015 could not have been with a better couple. Mary and Nick are two amazing people and we had a blast capturing their wedding day.

The day began at Nick's parents house with the guys getting ready downstairs. They had an awesome bar in their basement so we obviously centered most of the guy's prep around that. As the guys finished up, Mary had prepared a basket for Nick which included a personal message to Nick as well as some must have Groom items for the big day.

We then traveled over to Mary's house where the girls were just getting done with hair and makeup. You could see the excitement on Mary's face as she got into her dress with the help of her sisters. As we finished with the ladies, Nick had prepared a little note for Mary as well. Her face lit up as she read through each hand written card.

The ceremony was held at St. Benedict Catholic Church in the center of Carrolltown. This church had a lot of history for Mary and Nick and you could tell that they were all so happy to be tying the knot there. As the ceremony finished, we worked with Nick Finochio for the photo session. Every time we work with Nick, I know it's going to be an awesome day and this day was no different. We ventured out to some pretty cool fields and hillsides between Carrolltown and Northern Cambria and got some great footage.

Everyone came together for the reception at the Contres-Greer Social Hall in Northern Cambria. Third Wave Sound provided the music and entertainment for the evening and did a spectacular job. Thanks to Bob for being so easy to work with. The night ended with a beautiful sparkler exit for the newlyweds.

Thanks to Mary and Nick for having us be a part of your wedding day. We had so much fun with you guys and wish you the best of luck in your future together. Enjoy!

Jennifer & Robert | Backyard Wedding | Sypesville, Pennsylvania

We are always up for a backyard wedding, but nothing could describe what we experienced at Jennifer's family home. An enormous tent, tons of food, and sunflowers, rows and rows of sunflowers. It was amazing!

Our entire day was spent at Jennifer’s home, except for the 2 minute walk down the street to her brother’s house for prep with the guys. It was really a family affair in this quaint little town of Sypesville. We started with Jen and the girls as they got ready downstairs. Outside, the finishing touches were taking place at the ceremony and reception areas. As soon as Jen was finished with hair and makeup, we went upstairs to her room where she put on her dress.

Down the street, Robert and the guys were hanging out watching football. Robert finished putting on his suit and tied his son’s bowtie, with a little help from Google of course. Once the guys were finished, it was time to exchange vows.

It was an absolutely beautiful end of summer day as Jennifer and Robert said their vows outdoors, in the field just behind her parent’s house. With the seal of a kiss, they walked back down the aisle hand in hand.

As the sun began to creep closer to the horizon, we worked alongside Ryan and Abbey from Ryan Zarichnak Photography. Obviously, we used the sunflowers as a backdrop for the photo session. Jennifer’s father planted these sunflowers in the spring especially for the wedding and wow, did they look stunning!

The party started as Top Dog Productions rocked the house and into the night. They completed the evening with a custom spotlight of Jennifer & Robert’s names on a water tower a few hundred yards away. Truly an amazing day! Thanks to Jennifer & Robert and both of their families for having us capture their wedding day. We had so much fun spending the day with you and wish you nothing but the best in your future together. Enjoy!

Simon's First Birthday | Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania

Simon and all of his little friends had a blast during his Halloween themed birthday party. They all dressed up in their costumes and ran around like the wild children we've come to love. The party was extra special for me because Simon's Mom & Dad are great friends of mine and after shooting my son's birthday, they asked me to do the same for their little guy. Simon's party was full of pumpkins, hay bales, candy, and cake...lots and lots of cake and Simon thoroughly enjoyed it. Happy First Birthday little man!

Christin & Michael | Musket Ridge Golf Course | Maryland Wedding

We love getting the opportunity to film at new places so when Christin & Michael contacted us about their Maryland wedding, we jumped on it. These two were so much fun to film and we are so excited to showcase their highlight film.

The day began at the hotel where Christin and the girls were finishing hair and makeup. As soon as the girls were ready, Christin kicked them out as her wedding dress had been kept a secret from all of them except her Matron of Honor. As soon as she was in the dress, we stepped outside to do a "first look" with the girls. It was a cool experience for us.

We headed over to Musket Ridge Golf Course as the guys were getting ready inside. We filmed Michael as he finished up with his tuxedo and then headed outside to the ceremony location. It was perfect that this wedding happened to be on a Sunday because it poured the day before. We were lucky enough to have beautiful weather and sun to soak up the rain for this outdoor ceremony. One of our favorite parts of the ceremony was capturing Michael's face as he turned around to see Christin. You could see his face light up with excitement as Christin walked down the aisle.

After the ceremony, we captured the photo session on the grounds of the golf course alongside Genevieve Leiper Photography. Genevieve was so much fun to work with and a top notch photographer. We hope to see her again in the near future.

The reception was held in the ballroom inside the Country Club and wow, it was decorated beautifully. The flowers, cake, centerpieces...everything looked fantastic. Michael Bell from MyDeejay rocked the tunes for the evening and did an awesome job. The place was wild by the end of the night as the wedding party and guests sang along to their college fight songs. Even Testudo the Terrapin made an appearance on the dance floor.

We can't thank both Christin & Michael and their families enough for having us capture your wedding day. We had so much fun spending the day with you. Good luck to you both in the future. Congrats again and enjoy!

Amanda & Matthew | Summer Wedding | Huntingdon, Pennsylvania

If you asked me how to get back to this wedding location, I honestly couldn't tell you. We drove so far up a mountain and through the woods that I was certain we would be lost on the way home. But once we got to the top, the view of Lake Raystown was unbelievable. It was here on top a mountain, where Amanda and Matthew exchanged rings and renewed their marriage vows.

The day began with uncertain weather. There were clouds, some rain, and then sun! We were all very lucky as I'm pretty sure there was no back up plan. Matthew and the guys got ready on the patio outside of the lodge as the girls hung out and waited patiently upstairs. We finished up with the guys and made our way upstairs to the girls. Amanda's dress was stunning as it sparkled in the sunlight. As soon as she slipped in her dress, it was time for the ceremony.

The sun stayed out for the most part during this gorgeous outdoor wedding ceremony and as Amanda and Matthew exchanged their vows and rings, you could see the love beaming from their faces. There was love, laughter, tears, and smiles as they sealed their marriage with a kiss and walked hand in hand back down the aisle.

We worked alongside Laura Ashley Photography for the photo session. A big thanks to her for being so fun and easy going during this wedding day. She was a blast to work with and we hope to see her again soon. As we were finishing with the photos, we found a beautiful area tucked in the woods where we could get some great shots of Amanda and Matthew alone. My favorites of the day for sure.

The reception was held under a tent just a few steps away from the ceremony site. DJ Jeff Skidmore provided the tunes as everyone danced away on the dance floor. The end of the evening was extra special as people lit lanterns and sent them drifting into the night.

Congratulations to Amanda and Matthew and an extra big thank you for having us capture your wedding day. We had so much fun with you and your families. Enjoy!

Kasie & Isaac - Tyrone, Pennsylvania Wedding

Made for each other is an understatement when it comes to Kasie & Isaac. Their wedding day was packed full of so much love, laughter and tears and it was an honor to be able to capture it for them.

Our day began at Quest Haven Lodge, a rather large ranch that Isaac's family owns in the backwoods of Tyrone, Pennsylvania. Before we started with the girls, we had the opportunity to film some of the setup and decorations under the tent. Rustic Catering did an amazing job of decorating the place. As we entered the cabin where Kasie and the girls were doing hair and makeup, you could feel a nervous energy in the air. It was a big day for everyone.

We finished up at the lodge and headed over to the church to film the guys. Isaac and his groomsmen were tucked away in a separate room as Kasie made her way to the church to put on her dress. Just as everyone was ready, Isaac’s father did a special prayer with all the guys. It was a family tradition with his sons and it was indeed a special moment.

The ceremony was unique in itself as Kasie & Isaac read their personalized vows. They both had tears in their eyes as they read their promises to each other. As the ceremony concluded, we walked across the street to an amazing old house for the photo session. We could have spent all day here taking photos as it was so beautiful. A special thanks to Sarah Dane Photography for working alongside of us. They were fantastic!

The reception was held back at the lodge under a huge tent filled with family and friends. It was great to work with Nittany Entertainment again as they provided the music and packed the dance floor late into the night.

Thanks to both Kasie & Isaac and their wonderful families for having us capture their wedding day. We had so much fun spending the day with you and we wish you the absolute best in your future together. Enjoy!

Julie & Adam - Outdoor Wedding - Altoona, Pennsylvania

Memorial Day Weekend was the perfect weekend for Julie and Adam to get married. The weather was stunning for their outdoor ceremony at the Allegheny Portage Ampitheatre in Cresson, PA and we couldn't have been happier spending the day with them.

The day started at Adam's family home where the guys were getting suited up. On the sun porch, we captured some great footage of Adam getting ready with the help of his best man. As the guys finished up, we headed out and traveled to the Cresson House Bed & Breakfast where the ladies were doing hair and makeup. Julie and the girls were beyond excited for the day and you could tell with each of their smiles. Once they finished up makeup, Julie slipped into her dress and we were off to the ampitheatre.

The ceremony site was nestled in the woods and gave us the feeling that we were the only ones around for miles. It was the perfect spot on a perfect day. Julie & Adam exchanged their vows and sealed their commitment with a kiss.  After the ceremony, we continued working alongside Nick Finochio for the photo session. Nick has a gift and his work is truly amazing! He's also one of most fun and professional photographers we get to work with.

The reception was held at The Casino in Lakemont and featured live music from the band Dreamscape. They rocked the dance floor and kept it going from Julie & Adam's first dance all the way through to the end of the night.

We can't say thank you enough to Julie & Adam and their amazing families for giving us the opportunity to capture their wedding day. Best wishes to you both in the future. Enjoy!

I love working with local companies and Allegheny Ballet Company is by far one of my favorites. Megan & Nick | Altoona, Pennsylvania Wedding

Megan and Nick's wedding was our last of 2014 and I have to say, it turned out to be pretty awesome! I've known these two for almost 10 years now and it was exciting to be surrounded by friends and people that I've gotten to know during those years. Not only do I know Meg and Nick, but I also know their parents very well which made it all the more special to be capturing their wedding day.

We began the day at the Manor House, a beautiful old farmhouse with all the charm one would expect from a historic house in Martinsburg, Pennsylvania. Meg and her bridesmaids spent the night and were eating some breakfast as we arrived. Meg was so excited for the day to get started and as she was putting on her dress, tears started flowing from some of the girls. Meg's mom finished up tying her sash and Meg made her way down the steps for everyone to see.

We then made our way to the Village Green where Nick and the guys were finishing up. Nick's dad helped him with the final details and we were ready to go for the ceremony. It was a short and sweet ceremony held in the conference room at the Village Green and then we were ready for the photo session. We worked alongside Niki and Aaron of Mountainside Photography. We absolutely love working with these two as they are so nice and such a fun time to be around. Once we finished inside, we traveled back to the Manor House for some great outdoor photos on the grounds around the farmhouse.

The reception took us to the Casino in Altoona where Phil and Jacque of Rock Bottom Sound Production were spinning the tunes for the evening. It was a nice treat for us to be in the Soho Room of the Casino, a place I hadn't been to for a few years. The room was so elegantly decorated and included some epic photos of Meg and Nick's dog on each of the guest tables. When it comes to weddings, the team at the Casino is top notch. The dancing continued late into the night and everyone had a blast.

Thanks to Meg and Nick for having us film their wedding day. We had an awesome time capturing all the special moments of the day. Best wishes to you both in your future together. Enjoy!

Jennifer & Chris | Fall Wedding | Lake Raystown, Pennsylvania

Jen & Chris' wedding day was an exceptionally special day for me because I've known Jen since Junior High. She's always been a great friend and even though our paths have taken us to different areas of Pennsylvania, I was so excited to film her wedding day. I didn't have the opportunity to meet Chris until the big day and sometimes that can be tough, but not with Chris. He is such a warm and friendly person that he seems like an old friend right from the start.

We began with Chris and the guys getting ready at one of the lodges at Lake Raystown. The weather was absolutely stunning for late October. As the guys mingled and drank some adult beverages, we finished up with Chris and headed down to the lakeside cabins where the girls were getting dressed.

Jen had the very interesting idea of putting her dress on outside next to the lake. At first I thought she might have had a little too much wine, but I'm so glad we did it. It was totally different and made for some great shots of her and the girls. Once we were done with the girls, we headed out for the first look. We met at the gazebo by the lake and captured the reaction of Chris seeing his beautiful bride for the first time. Both of their faces lit up with smiles.

Shortly after the first look, the ceremony took place on the deck of the Conference Center where Jen and Chris exchanged some very beautiful vows to each other. And just before the sun began to sink behind the mountains, we managed to grab some great shots of the newlyweds out on the boat docks.

The day culminated with a beautiful reception in the main ballroom of the Lake Raystown Conference Center. The staff here does an amazing job and are always so great to work with. Boomerang Sound laid down the tracks to what was a very entertaining dance party.

Congratulations to Jen & Chris and best wishes to them as they begin their journey together. Thank you for having us capture your wedding day. Enjoy!
