Mary & Nick | Fall Wedding | Carrolltown, Pennsylvania

Our final wedding highlight of 2015 could not have been with a better couple. Mary and Nick are two amazing people and we had a blast capturing their wedding day.

The day began at Nick's parents house with the guys getting ready downstairs. They had an awesome bar in their basement so we obviously centered most of the guy's prep around that. As the guys finished up, Mary had prepared a basket for Nick which included a personal message to Nick as well as some must have Groom items for the big day.

We then traveled over to Mary's house where the girls were just getting done with hair and makeup. You could see the excitement on Mary's face as she got into her dress with the help of her sisters. As we finished with the ladies, Nick had prepared a little note for Mary as well. Her face lit up as she read through each hand written card.

The ceremony was held at St. Benedict Catholic Church in the center of Carrolltown. This church had a lot of history for Mary and Nick and you could tell that they were all so happy to be tying the knot there. As the ceremony finished, we worked with Nick Finochio for the photo session. Every time we work with Nick, I know it's going to be an awesome day and this day was no different. We ventured out to some pretty cool fields and hillsides between Carrolltown and Northern Cambria and got some great footage.

Everyone came together for the reception at the Contres-Greer Social Hall in Northern Cambria. Third Wave Sound provided the music and entertainment for the evening and did a spectacular job. Thanks to Bob for being so easy to work with. The night ended with a beautiful sparkler exit for the newlyweds.

Thanks to Mary and Nick for having us be a part of your wedding day. We had so much fun with you guys and wish you the best of luck in your future together. Enjoy!

  2. The Kentucky Derby 2017 will be the 143rd running of the Kentucky Derby, and is set for Saturday, May 6, 2017.
Javier Castellano is arguably the best jockey in racing right now.
Except, that is, at the Kentucky Derby 2017.

It is a baffling fact: The top rider in the game -- he's won the Eclipse Award as the sport's best in each of the last four years -- has the worst record of any jockey ever to ride in the Kentucky Derby. And even with all his accomplishments, when the Run for the Roses draws near the most glaring omission from his resume starts gnawing at him.

This is the one he wants, more than anything else.
"To win this Kentucky Derby Live race, it would mean a lot," Castellano said. He paused for a moment, looked up and quietly continued his thought: "A lot," he said again.
